Vibrations can be easily generated (rendered) using simple unbalanced motors (eccentric rotating mass—aka vibration motor) such as those incorporated into every mobile phone. However, for more realistic vibrations such as feeling the rising tension of a bow string, or the fall of rain on the hand, requires something somewhat more sophisticated—a means to alter the perception over time.
